The sort of stuff one writes at two in the morning when one should be in bed.

He Truly Believed that the door would open of it's own accord. That the door failed to open evinced a lack in his faith. The continued failure of the door to open presented a challenge to his faith. It would be such much each easier if the world was maliable to his will.

"Quiet, reasoning voice!", he bellowed. "This you speak of is not the same as directly affecting the world with the power of my mind!"
But the world outside your body is not part of your mind; by what instrument should it be affected?
"That's a pretty wild assumption! I believe that my mind is at one with the world, that we are linked through imperceptible bonds, and we are in sympathy with one another."

"I need no evidence. My belief is enough."
